Type 302 stainless steel is an austenitic alloy of 18 percent chromium and 8 percent nickel. Due to these two added elements, T302 stainless steel spring wire is the most popular stainless steel in manufacturing springs because of its excellent corrosion resistance as well as high tensile strength and toughness at cryogenic temperatures. Meets with ASTM-A-313 and AMS-5688. Diameters of spring wire range from 0.001” to 0.625”.

Unlike T302 stainless steel, T316 possesses a slightly higher nickel content and extra molybdenum, both of which provides better corrosion resistance. Compared with T302, however, T316 has a lower tensile strength and is slightly less magnetic. Excellent cold working properties makes it superior to cold working conditions, while outstanding creep strength allows for good performance under elevated temperatures. Meets with ASTM A 313. Wire diameters comes in 0.009 to 0.5 inch.

Zinc-coated music spring wire possesses high corrosion resistance ability. Uniform zinc coating is applied to the wire prior to the final drawing operation, producing a hard surface suitable for automatic spring coiling and mechanical forming without cracking or peeling. Meets with ASTM-A-228. It has high carbon content which provides high tensile strength and hardness. Galvanized music wire are available for springs of tension, compression and torsion.

Inconel spring wire processes an outstanding combination of high strength, hot and cold workability and resistance to ordinary form of corrosion. It also exhibits good heat resistance and aging or steer corrosion through tough work conditions. The high chromium content of alloy 600 considerably resist oxidation while high nickel content offers excellent corrosion resistance under reducing conditions.

Cold drawn inconel 600 spring wire embraces good mechanical properties as well as workability. Diameters range from 0.057in. to 0.563in. Premium corrosion resistances allows for working in tough environments. Available in coil springs, wire springs, compression springs, torsion springs, barrel springs, die springs and so on.
